So I was out shovelling snow when I noticed something small and dark trying to run up a pile of snow. It was a mouse that, apparently, had somehow managed to wake up from hibernating. It's decided: I'm moving to the south of the country to become a librarian. I suppose it's about time I grew up and moved out of the nest, but godammit is it frightening.
